Nuvista Media’s founder, Harun Rahman, is an avid documentary filmmaker with more than 30 years of experience. Right from the start, Harun steered the company into the realm of the natural world. An avid diver, his first commitment to nature was a documentary on Malaysia’s underwater world. He continued his love for nature by directing and filming a whole series of natural and wildlife documentaries including “Among the Great Apes with Michelle Yeoh” and “Sumatra’s Last Tigers”. Harun has won awards locally and internationally.

He takes pride in working frequently with NGOs on projects that carry strong messages, which revolve around environmental, animal protection and other social issues. Harun leads NGO RIMAU's anti-poaching efforts and was also the former President of the Malaysian Documentary Association (MyDocs).
